MU/Nebraska Game

This past Thursday night, we traveled to Columbia for the MU/Nebraska Game. I sure wish I would've know when we bought the tickets that there was going to be a monsoon in Columbia. It rained ALL DAY and ALL NIGHT!! It was a bit chilly as well but it could've been a lot worse. Tailgating wasn't so bad. We stayed pretty warm and dry for several hours before we had to get out into the rain.

Here is a pic of us girls tailgating....Ang, Me, Michelle & Jen

Ang, Me & Jen all decked out in our rain gear, getting ready to brave the weather!

Needless to say, MU blew the game in the last quarter. Some how we ended up having a good time, despite MU's loss!!

Here is a pic of Ryan & I @ Black & Gold...reminds me of a small town bar!!

The rest of our weekend was pretty uneventful! We went and visited our new nephew on Friday evening. He is still as precious as ever!!

On Saturday, I had a work function. We participate in Christmas in October. I am apart of the food committee so at least I get to be inside. It was extremely cold out on Saturday morning. THANKS to all the AMU volunteers plus the family and friends that came out to support such a good cause!!

Rylee and I got to hang out all day on Sunday. Ryan went to Concordia to put his new deer stand up. Man, I am not looking forward to hunting season!! We don't see Ryan much on the weekends!! Lots of girl time which is fun but being a single parent for 2 days is exhausting!! We definitely look forward to Sunday evenings when Daddy comes home!!!

Sunday night was spaghetti night.

This is what Rylee looks like after spaghetti night!!

Love me a messy girl after spaghetti!!

Well, I think that pretty much catches me up for a while!! This weekend we are heading to Caldwell for Homecoming. Surely I'll have some pictures to share! I hope you all have a great rest of the week!! Until next time....TTFN!!!

New Nephew

Well, we have a new addition to the Krause Family. My brother-in-law Aaron and his wife Dana, welcomed Paxton Gage Krause on Wednesday, October 7th. He weighed 7lbs 13oz and was 21 inches long. Here is a picture of Paxton. He is just adorable!!!!!!

Here is the proud new daddy and mommy with their precious little boy!

Last Thursday, Ryan and I went to the MU/Nebraska football in Columbia. I will try to get some pictures posted from that after/evening. It rained the entire time we were there. I was a drowned rat by the time we left the stadium. It was fun but I definitely get the wife of the year award for standing in the rain at an MU game.

Until next time....TTFN!

The Circus

Hello all!! Yes I know, I'm a bit behind again. SORRY!!

This past Saturday, we took Rylee to The Ringling Bros. & Barnum and Bailey's Circus. They came to the Sprint Center so we bought tickets to the 11am show. I'm not sure who was more excited, Rylee or us!! I haven't ever been to the circus so I was very, very excited. Rylee was too when we started telling her about the animals.

Here is a picture of me and Rylee before the show started.

Here is little missy during intermission

Rylee & Daddy after the show

We had a BLAST at the circus!!! I think Rylee enjoyed it too. She got a little restless at the end but it was getting close to nap-time so that was understandable!

We went home to get rested for our company for the evening. We invited Todd & Beth (neighbors and Rylee daycare provider in Olathe) and Jenny, Jake & Ava (neighbors from Olathe) over for a BBQ. They hadn't seen our new home yet plus we just needed an excuse to get together. And Rylee and Jake really miss each other so we wanted to give them a chance to play.

Here are the buddies at the end of the night.

Both of the kids were worn out!! They played so hard! It was so nice to see them together again!!

Sunday was a pretty relaxing day, which was very nice! Normally we are out of town so it was nice to be home for a change!!!!!

This weekend Rylee & I are headed to Caldwell to help celebrate Darren, my dad & Kirstan's b-day, we'll go to my nephew Andrew's football game on Friday night and to Logan's volleyball tournament on Saturday. Lots of driving but it will be worth it! Hope to have some pictures to share.

Until next time....TTFN!!!!

Slacker!!

Yes, I know I'm slacking on my blog once again! I just can't seem to keep up!!! Nothing too exciting has been going on for us. Just the usual...work, work and more work!!

Rylee continues to keep us very busy. She is the "potty training" process at the moment. She does GREAT at school....except going #2. She just hasn't figured out how to go poop on the potty yet. That is the only time she has accidents at school. We are soooo ready to be out of diapers and pull-ups but I think it will still be a while. For whatever reason, she isn't very good at telling us she needs to potty at home. It's getting better but not great! I guess it's more fun at school since everyone else is doing it!!!! In due time I guess!

This weekend, we will be heading south for the 3rd Annual McDorman Family Lake trip. We spend the weekend at Winfield Lake. I am sooooo looking forward to a nice relaxing weekend! I hope the weather cooperates with us! I am also super excited to see my parent's new toy! They bought a 5th Wheel (camper) a few weeks ago. I guess it is HUGE and super nice! No "roughing" it for the McDormans. I do have to say though, I really don't mind sleeping in a tent. I kind of enjoy it....especially when it's not 100 degree's outside! Ryan is not a huge fan of camping so I know he is going to enjoy the camper! I should have lots of fun stories and pictures to share after the weekend.

I'll leave you with a picture of Ryan and I from our housewarming party a few weeks ago.

I hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday weekend!!! Until next time, TTFN!!

Rylee's New Tricycle

On Monday night, Ryan thought it was time to get Rylee her very own tricycle. She has been riding the one at daycare and just LOVES it. So, we decided to run to Wal-Mart and buy one for her. She was sooooo excited about it. We got home and she even had to help her daddy put it together. She COULD NOT wait to ride it. Finally, it was complete so we headed outside to try it out.

Here is our little munchkin posing for the picture

Here she goes......

She does really well on it but we decided, flip-flops aren't the best shoes to wear. We'll have to try it with her tennis shoes next time.

I can't believe my baby girl is big enough to be riding a tricycle. It just doesn't seem possible!!!! She is growing up way to fast for me! BUT, we are enjoying every minute of this stage she is in. She is such a joy and so much fun!

I've got a busy rest of the week and weekend planned. Thursday night, I am going out to dinner with some ladies from work. Friday is Ryan's b-day so we will be celebrating that evening. Saturday, my sister-in-law and I are having a baby shower for our other sister-in-law. We are doing a brunch so I'm super excited about that. And then Saturday night, we are finally having our house warming party. Most of our friends haven't seen our new house yet so I'm very excited to "entertain" them! We will also be celebrating Ryan's birthday. I will hopefully have lots of pictures to post after the weekend.

I hope you all have a great rest of the week....until next time TTFN!!

Weekend Fun with my mom & the Rice's

Last weekend, we had house guests. My mom brought up the Rice Family to stay with us until Sunday. We had lots of fun stuff planned during their stay.

On Thursday night, we ate at Hooters. When I asked Corbin, the 8 year old, what he wanted to do when he came to KC, he said "eat at Hooters." His mom Kirstan shook her head at his response. When I asked him why he wanted to eat at Hooters he said "because there at hot girls there!" How cute is that?!?!?! So, we began our trip with dinner at Hooters. The Shaffers met us there and we had a great time.

Friday, we had a busy day of shopping planned. Shopping was on Logan's list of things to do. We began @ Target so they could get their school supplies. We followed that up with a trip to Kohls & then Famous Footwear. Then it was time to break for lunch. I took them to Planet Sub...YUMMY!!! They were all very impressed with lunch! MORE SHOPPING....we went to TJ Max and then Old Navy. The Old Navy store has manikins in the front of their store and every time we go there, Rylee gets so excited to see "her friends." She has to go up and hug all of them. It is pretty cute. I think she and Corbin were all shopped out so they decided to pose with the manikins. Corbin was very good at it. At one point, I freaked out because I couldn't find him. I looked up and there he was, standing with the manikins.....he looked just like one of them. Here is a picture of them....

That evening we were having a Mexican Fiesta at our house. Tacos, salsa, guacamole, rice, margaritas, etc. It was wonderful!! We followed that up with some cards. My mom and Lexie were being really silly....this is what my mom looked like after Lexie fixed her hair....

Saturday, we went to Summit Waves. It is a small water park not too far from Rylee's daycare. It wasn't terribly hot so it was a perfect day!! We all enjoyed the lazy river, the pool, and the water slides.

We had to leave the park around 2:45 because a storm was rolling in....good thing we went early so we could get our monies worth!!

On Saturday night, I made beer burgers & potatoes on the grill. Another yummy feast at the Krause house. Once again, we stayed up late playing cards.

Sunday rolled around and it was time for them to go home. I made them some breakfast casserole before they got on the road. I was very sad to see them go but so thankful for the 4 days we got to spend together. We hope to do it again next year.

The rest of our Sunday was spent cleaning, doing laundry and napping. Can't believe the weekend is already over.

Until next time....TTFN
