Rylee and I had a pretty uneventful Saturday morning/afternoon. Ryan had to work all day so it was just us girls! I spent most of the morning cleaning...YUCK!!! I feel very fortunate that Ryan lets me have a house cleaner that comes every two weeks....she is soooo worth it!!! Unfortunately she was sick last week and unable to come. So, I was forced to clean my own house! Seriously??? I forgot how much I hated doing house work! I survived though and our house is clean which is wonderful!
After Rylee rested, she entertained me with her cheer leading skills!! She started busting out a MIZZOU cheer....it was adorable. Here she is in action!
Then I caught another clip of her....she is a bit confused about MIZZOU and OU. Poor girl!! Here are her cheers for both teams!
After her "show"we headed over the Aaron & Dana's house to visit. It had been a while since we had seen them...I was having withdrawals from my new nephew! We had a wonderful visit with Dana and I got to spoil Paxton for like 3 hours!! It was wonderful!! Ryan came over for a bit on his way home. He took Rylee home so I could stay and visit longer. I had a great time with Dana!!! I just love my "Krause" sisters!!!!
I then had to make a trip to Wal-Mart. I HATE going to Wal-Mart in Lee's Summit! There is only one and it is always ridiculously busy! After fighting the crowds for about an hour, I was out of there. Thank the lord!!!
We spent the evening watching Football!! Unfortunately, MIZZO didn't fair so well against Texas....darn it!! I HATE Texas!! There was a lot of shouting coming from the basement....Ryan wasn't too happy!!!! Luckily, we have Rylee to change the mood!! Here is another video of her entertaining us at half-time.
Not sure if she is going to be a cheerleader or a dancer!!
Today, we are spending the afternoon with Ryan's parents. Rylee has really been missing her Grandma and Grandpa so she is super excited that they are coming up for a visit! We'll enjoy visiting, eating Cowboy Stew and watching Chiefs football!
We hope everyone has a great Sunday! Until next time, TTFN!!

CHS Homecoming
This past weekend, we traveled south to Caldwell for homecoming. For those of you that don't know much about Caldwell, Homecoming is a BIG deal and a tradition that has been going on for as long as I can remember! This year was my older brother Darren's 15-year celebration. His class was in charge of the program on Friday afternoon. Needless to say, it was awful!!!! All Darren had to say about it was, "I don't really care....I was in charge of the shirts!" And the shirts turned out pretty awesome by the way.
Here is a picture of Ash, Darren & Rylee after the program.

After the program, there is a parade on main street. The bands, sports teams, classes, etc. all ride through the parade and throw candy for the little ones. Right before the parade, my niece Ashlee was crowned Princess!! That gave her the honor of carrying the crown for the Queen at halftime of the football game. CONGRATS Ash!!! You were such a pretty princess!!!!!
Here is a picture of me and my sister-in-law after the parade.

I just love my sister!!

MeMe and her girls!!

Rylee with Princess Ashlee at the football game

Leslie (one of my bff's from high school), me & Keira @ the dance

Ryan finally made it to town just in town for the parties to begin. Here he is with my brother @ The Club.

Saturday morning, me, Rylee, my mom and Kirstan got up and headed to Sedan, KS for the Middle School girls league volleyball tournament. The Caldwell Lady Jays were undefeated going into this tournament. They ended up winning the whole thing and ended their season with a 14-0 record!! WOW!!!! I'm so proud of Lexie and the rest of her team! What a fun group of girls to watch!!!
After we got back into town, we headed downtown to Joe B's Pool Hall for Karaoke! Man was it packed in there!!!! Never new so many small-towner's were such big fans of Karaoke!!

WOW!! What a fun, fun weekend!! It was so nice to catch up with old friends from high school!! However, I'm glad this only happens once a year!!!
Nothing too exciting has been going on this week. This weekend we plan to spend time with the Krauses' so hopefully I'll have some pictures to post from our visit with Dana & Paxton on Saturday afternoon, play date with Jackson & Matthew on Saturday night and Grandma & Grandpa Krauses' visit on Sunday! Really looking forward to the weekend!!
Until next time....TTFN!!!

MU/Nebraska Game
This past Thursday night, we traveled to Columbia for the MU/Nebraska Game. I sure wish I would've know when we bought the tickets that there was going to be a monsoon in Columbia. It rained ALL DAY and ALL NIGHT!! It was a bit chilly as well but it could've been a lot worse. Tailgating wasn't so bad. We stayed pretty warm and dry for several hours before we had to get out into the rain.
Here is a pic of us girls tailgating....Ang, Me, Michelle & Jen

Ryan & I

Ang, Me & Jen all decked out in our rain gear, getting ready to brave the weather!

Needless to say, MU blew the game in the last quarter. Some how we ended up having a good time, despite MU's loss!!
Here is a pic of Ryan & I @ Black & Gold...reminds me of a small town bar!!

The rest of our weekend was pretty uneventful! We went and visited our new nephew on Friday evening. He is still as precious as ever!!
On Saturday, I had a work function. We participate in Christmas in October. I am apart of the food committee so at least I get to be inside. It was extremely cold out on Saturday morning. THANKS to all the AMU volunteers plus the family and friends that came out to support such a good cause!!
Rylee and I got to hang out all day on Sunday. Ryan went to Concordia to put his new deer stand up. Man, I am not looking forward to hunting season!! We don't see Ryan much on the weekends!! Lots of girl time which is fun but being a single parent for 2 days is exhausting!! We definitely look forward to Sunday evenings when Daddy comes home!!!
Sunday night was spaghetti night.
This is what Rylee looks like after spaghetti night!!

Love me a messy girl after spaghetti!!
Well, I think that pretty much catches me up for a while!! This weekend we are heading to Caldwell for Homecoming. Surely I'll have some pictures to share! I hope you all have a great rest of the week!! Until next time....TTFN!!!

New Nephew
Well, we have a new addition to the Krause Family. My brother-in-law Aaron and his wife Dana, welcomed Paxton Gage Krause on Wednesday, October 7th. He weighed 7lbs 13oz and was 21 inches long. Here is a picture of Paxton. He is just adorable!!!!!!

Here is the proud new daddy and mommy with their precious little boy!

Paxton with his Aunt Mac (me)

Here is a picture of Rylee on the ride home from the hospital.

Last Thursday, Ryan and I went to the MU/Nebraska football in Columbia. I will try to get some pictures posted from that after/evening. It rained the entire time we were there. I was a drowned rat by the time we left the stadium. It was fun but I definitely get the wife of the year award for standing in the rain at an MU game.
Until next time....TTFN!

The Circus
Hello all!! Yes I know, I'm a bit behind again. SORRY!!
This past Saturday, we took Rylee to The Ringling Bros. & Barnum and Bailey's Circus. They came to the Sprint Center so we bought tickets to the 11am show. I'm not sure who was more excited, Rylee or us!! I haven't ever been to the circus so I was very, very excited. Rylee was too when we started telling her about the animals.
Here is a picture of me and Rylee before the show started.

Here is little missy during intermission

The elephants

The tigers

Rylee & Daddy after the show

We had a BLAST at the circus!!! I think Rylee enjoyed it too. She got a little restless at the end but it was getting close to nap-time so that was understandable!
We went home to get rested for our company for the evening. We invited Todd & Beth (neighbors and Rylee daycare provider in Olathe) and Jenny, Jake & Ava (neighbors from Olathe) over for a BBQ. They hadn't seen our new home yet plus we just needed an excuse to get together. And Rylee and Jake really miss each other so we wanted to give them a chance to play.
Here are the buddies at the end of the night.

Both of the kids were worn out!! They played so hard! It was so nice to see them together again!!
Sunday was a pretty relaxing day, which was very nice! Normally we are out of town so it was nice to be home for a change!!!!!
This weekend Rylee & I are headed to Caldwell to help celebrate Darren, my dad & Kirstan's b-day, we'll go to my nephew Andrew's football game on Friday night and to Logan's volleyball tournament on Saturday. Lots of driving but it will be worth it! Hope to have some pictures to share.

Slacker!!
Yes, I know I'm slacking on my blog once again! I just can't seem to keep up!!! Nothing too exciting has been going on for us. Just the usual...work, work and more work!!
Rylee continues to keep us very busy. She is the "potty training" process at the moment. She does GREAT at school....except going #2. She just hasn't figured out how to go poop on the potty yet. That is the only time she has accidents at school. We are soooo ready to be out of diapers and pull-ups but I think it will still be a while. For whatever reason, she isn't very good at telling us she needs to potty at home. It's getting better but not great! I guess it's more fun at school since everyone else is doing it!!!! In due time I guess!
This weekend, we will be heading south for the 3rd Annual McDorman Family Lake trip. We spend the weekend at Winfield Lake. I am sooooo looking forward to a nice relaxing weekend! I hope the weather cooperates with us! I am also super excited to see my parent's new toy! They bought a 5th Wheel (camper) a few weeks ago. I guess it is HUGE and super nice! No "roughing" it for the McDormans. I do have to say though, I really don't mind sleeping in a tent. I kind of enjoy it....especially when it's not 100 degree's outside! Ryan is not a huge fan of camping so I know he is going to enjoy the camper! I should have lots of fun stories and pictures to share after the weekend.
I'll leave you with a picture of Ryan and I from our housewarming party a few weeks ago.

I hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday weekend!!! Until next time, TTFN!!
