Bad Blogger

Hello everyone!! So sorry I've been slacking on updating this lately! We've just been a lot busier than normal lately! A lot has gone on since my last blog!

As of Wednesday, April 22nd, we "officially" listed our house with Reece & Nichols. We tried the For Sale by Owner for 7 months with no luck. Ryan was DONE with it so we decided to let our realtor take over. We've had 3 showings since last Wednesday and we received our first offer yesterday....YEAH!!! Even though it was a pretty low offer, we were still excited to have something on the table. We of course counter-offered and are just waiting to hear back. This negotiating and waiting game is NO FUN!!! Keep your fingers crossed for us that we get this thing sold quickly!!

My parents came up this past weekend to keep Rylee for us. The ended up bringing my niece Ashlee with them. She and Rylee had all kinds of fun with MeMe and PaPa all weekend long!! Here is a picture of the girls from the house.

On Saturday, one of my very dear friends was getting married. Jenni Boehmer, who I refer to as JB, has become one of my very best friends. I met her 9 years go after I moved to KC. I met her through another friend, and then proceeded to meet the rest of the Concorida Crew!! I am so very thankful that Jenni (and the rest of the crew) came into my life!! They have become part of my family!! I am also so thankful that Jenni found Eric! He is a great guy and he fits in perfectly with our group! I couldn't be happier for them!! Here are some pictures from the wedding and reception.

Weekend happenings and Birthday Fun!!

Ok, so here it is Tuesday and I have yet to BLOG about our weekend. SORRY!! Been a little busy and absent minded!!

My birthday was Saturday so we had a fun filled evening planned. HOWEVER, my hubby let me start my celebrating early by enjoying a night of shopping...ALL BY MYSELF!! It was great! Rylee had lots of fun while I was gone as well! We finally broke down and bought her a sandbox for the backyard and boy, was it a BIG hit!!! I guess she played in it all evening while I was shopping. Ryan said she just loved it! Here are a few pictures that he took...

Needless to say she was a mess afterwards and required a rinsing off with the hose in the backyard before Ryan brought her into the house. GOOD MAN!!

Saturday morning, my hubby was so kind to let me sleep in a bit since it was my b-day. I woke up to Rylee running down the hall to me saying "Happy Birthday Mommy, I've got cards!" She was carry the cards that she and Ryan had gotten for me. It was sooooo cute. She even signed (or attempted to at least) her own name. Of course when I asked her about it, she told me that she drew me a picture. TOO CUTE!! Then they brought me my present....Rylee helped drag the box into the living room. Drum roll please...........they got me a Wii Fit. YEAH!!!!!!! I was sooooo excited! My suttle hints paid off! We played it for a while but then I was off to take Rylee to get her hair cut and do some shopping at Old Navy. We had some fun mommy-daughter time!!! While Ryan and Rylee were both napping, I spent all afternoon on my Wii Fit. I just couldn't stop!! I LOVE IT!! BEST GIFT EVER!! Ok maybe not but it's pretty darn close!!!

That evening, we got a sitter so we could go out with our friends. We started the night with dinner and drinks at Red Lobster! YUMMY!!! Joining us for dinner was Richard & Aly, Scott & Ang, Jenni & Eric, and Geeter! The food was absolutely delicious!! Jenni and I split some shrimp and lobster pasta dish and it was "to die for." Here are a few pictures from dinner.

After we got done eating, it was off to AMF College Lanes for EXTREME BOWLING!!! OMG, did we ever have a ball!!! Along with the group from dinner, my cousin Janaye and friend Marianne joined us. I pretty much rocked everyone's world the first game. I even beat Ryan!!! He was NOT HAPPY about that!! The next game, I didn't fair so well. After a few too many drinks and a blister on my thumb from the ball, my game went downhill and in a hurry. Aly even beat me!!!!! LOVE YA GIRL!! Here are the pictures from the evening!!

Sunday, we had to get up and get the house ready for a showing from 11:30-1:30. Cleaning your house with a terrible headache is NOT FUN!! I wouldn't recommend it to anyone! We spent the afternoon at the mall and then back home by 2pm for a meeting with our realtor!

After 7 months of trying to sell our house on our own, we have decided to throw in the towel!! As of tomorrow, our house will "officially" be listed with Reece & Nichols. We are hoping that they will have better luck getting our house sold! We are starting to get very anxious to get moved to Lee's Summit!! We hope and pray that we get an offer and a contract on the house soon!!

Well, that is our weekend in a nutshell!! GOOD TIMES had by all!

Hope everyone is having a great week so far!

Playground fun with Rylee

Tonight, it was just me and Rylee!! Ryan went golfing with some buddies so it was girls night! We decided since it was such a beautiful evening, that we'd walk down to the school and play at the playground. Rylee had a ball!! She is a really big fan of the slipper slides. On the way there, she kept saying "Slipper slide, I coming!!" She could hardly contain herself! Here are a few pictures from our evening of fun!

She did give the swing a try but wasn't a huge fan....

And if we say cheese, this is the face that we get....

We really enjoyed our evening outside! Let's hope the weather stays like this for a while!

Nothing else new to report. I guess I better finish dinner. Hope everyone has a good rest of the week!

Happy Easter!!

We hope everyone had a great Easter Weekend!! We sure did! Yesterday, we loaded up and headed to Lee's Summit to spend the day/night with Ryan's brothers and their families! Here is a picture of my super cute nephew, Matthew. He's 4 months old.

We spent the afternoon playing the Wii while the kids slept. Once the kids woke up, it was time to hunt the Easter Eggs. Here is a picture of Rylee and her cousin Jackson with their baskets.

Ryan decided he needed to get in on the fun....

The kids had a ball hunting for the eggs.

After the egg hunting was over, the kids enjoyed chasing the bubbles.

We are so thankful that we had such a beautiful day on Saturday.

Sunday morning we got up and headed back to Olathe so we could attend the Easter Service at our church. Rylee really didn't want to have her picture taken but I was able to snap a few...by bribing her a banana!!!!

Mega Block fun with Daddy

Last night, Rylee entertained us with two of her favorite things.....Hide and go seek and building with her Mega Blocks. She started out playing hide and seek with us. She really loves using the laundry basket to hide but tonight, she thought she'd try something new.....the grey tote that we keep her blocks in. It was hilarious. Here is the tote. And yes, she is under there!!!!

Ryan would say, where's Rylee or go Knock Knock on the side of the tote and she would just giggle and squeal. She'd finally raise up and say, "I was Hidin!" Here she is coming out of hiding!!

Little miss cheese ball!!

After the hide and seek fun was over with, she decided it was time to build. Now Ryan and I really enjoying building with the blocks...maybe even more than she does. However, we like to actually build things. My favorite is trying to build a castle with a fence, etc. Well, little miss Rylee has no patience with us when we are trying to build something. She removes the blocks because she wants to build a "High Tower." Thank you Dora for that!! She likes to stack the blocks as high as she possible can. Tonight, we even had to get our her step stool because their tower was sooooo high! Here's the finished product!

Until next time....TTFN

Weekend laziness and family fun

Our weekend was full of MUCH NEEDED laziness and lots of family fun!!

Friday our weekend started off with another showing on our house. We had to find something to do from 5-6pm. We decided not to get too far from home so we just went and walked around the Great Mall. Rylee is enjoyed getting to run free and ride the animals and cars that were scattered around the mall. She would've stayed there all night if we would've let her but mommy only has so many quarters!!! We then went home and enjoyed a nice dinner together. I was actually in bed by 9pm...What a LOSER!!! It's hell getting old and having a child! Friday nights aren't what they used to be but I wouldn't change them for a minute!!!

Saturday morning I got up and started my day with a workout. If anyone is having trouble trying to get motivated to workout or finding a workout that they like, let me recommend TurboJam. It is AWESOME!!!! I started this program on March 2nd and I absolutely LOVE IT!!!! It is the best workout that I've ever done! And believe me, I really don't like working out so it must be good for me to rave about it. It is fun, the music is AWESOME and it really, really kicks your butt!

We spent the rest of the day being very, very LAZY and it was wonderful! We haven't gotten to do that in a while. Ryan and I both has a TON of shows to catch up on....Thank heavens for DVR! He spent all day in the basement watching his shows and I was upstairs. Can you feel the love???? LOL! We decided that maybe we should get out of the house. I was craving Mexican Food so he took us to my favorite place to eat, Jose Peppers! YUMMY!!!! I worked out extra hard this morning so I could splurge on this! After supper, we decided to go out to Nebraska Furniture Mart and get Rylee and new DVD Player. After picking up the DVD player and few other items, we unfortunately made our way over to the Nintendo Wii section. Ryan has been wanting to get one for a while but I keep telling him that we don't need one right now. Well, I gave in. We bought the Wii Sports package. We rushed home so we could play it. Needless to say, we were up pretty late playing games on Saturday night. We LOVE it and I'm glad we finally bought it. I'm secretly hoping that he will by me the Wii Fit for my b-day!!! Hint, Hint!

Sunday we got up and headed west to Ryan's home town, Concorida, MO. We haven't seen his parents for a while se we decided to go spend the day with them. Rylee had a blast playing with her Grandma and Grandpa!! We also got to spend sometime with both sets of Ryan's grandparents. Rylee loved getting to see Great Grandma Krause, and Great Grandma and Grandpa Hinck! It had been quite a long time since they've seen her so they were amazed at how big she was. AND, they were quite impressed with her vocabulary!! She's quite a talker! I have NO IDEA where she gets that from. We got home about 6pm and didn't do a whole lot the rest of the night....except of course, play the Wii! I am dominating in Bowling and Ryan hates it!!

That pretty much wraps up our weekend. Sorry I don't have any pictures to post. I am terrible about not taking the camera places! I'll try to do better. I hope everyone has a great Monday!!

New blogger

Ok, so I'm going to try this whole blogging thing....Thanks to you Jess!!!!! We'll see if I can keep up!

Nothing real new to report with the Krause's. We are still trying to sell our house in Olathe! It has been on the market since September and we are starting to get very impatient!! We are very ready to move to Lee's Summit to be closer to Ryan's brothers and their families!!

Rylee continues to keep us very busy these days. We haven't hit the full-blown terrible two's yet but I think she has her moments!! Here are a few pictures that were taken last month.

I'm going to enjoy a Spa Party at my cousin Janaye's house tonight. Might post some pictures if I can remember to take my camera!
