Saturday fun with Snow White & The Hemme's

Ok so yes, I'm a little behind again!  Story of my life these days!!  Last Saturday we had a very busy but super fun day!  Snow White was at Crown Center and taking pictures with kids until 6pm.  So we decided to join both Hemme familys.  We started the day with lunch at Fritz’s Railroad Restaurant.  This restaurant is great for the kiddo's!!  The trains delivery your meal to your table!  Pretty cool!  Here is a picture of Rylee in front of the train at the entrance of the restaurant.
Here is Rylee with her railroad hat on
After we ate lunch, the girls were all so excited to see Snow White however, the line was INSANE!!!  The daddy's were so generous and offered to stand in line while we took the girls to the Crayola Store.  Not sure who got the better end of this deal!!  After they waited in line for over and hour, we decided to join them.  The girls almost couldn't contain their excitement!  We FINALLY made it to the front of the line and Rylee was about to go nuts!!  It was her turn and Snow White waved her to come sit on her lap.  Rylee look off running.  Unfortunately, there was a little lip in the floor that she didn't see and she feel head first onto the ground.  I think it scared her more than anything but she was very upset.  We let Ava and Oliva go ahead of us so we could get Rylee calmed down.  I walked Rylee up to Snow White and she jumped up in her arms and buried her head in Snow Whites shoulder.  It was sooooo cute!  Here she is sitting on Snow Whites lap!
Here are all the girls with Snow White....Ava, Rylee, Oliva, Hailey & Sidney.
Crown Center also had an exhibit called Fairy Tale Village.  It was just a bunch of little houses they could walk through and they all had to do with Fairy Tales.  So there was Goldilocks and The Three Bears, Three Little Pigs, etc.  It was pretty cool.  Here is Rylee and part of Oliva in front of The Big Bad Wolf!

Here is another attempt at a picture of all the girls...Rylee, Sidney, Ava, Olivia & Hailey

After we finished at Crown Center, the Hemme's invited us to their house so the girls could continue to play and then we'd have a BBQ.  Here are the girls dancing and singing to Hailey's karaoke machine.

We had such a fun time with the Hemme families!!!  We don't get together near enough!!

Sunday was my birthday and I started my day by sleeping in until 10am!!  It was WONDERFUL!!!  I can't even remember the last time I did that!  We had a pretty relaxing day which was perfect!  We did a little shopping but pretty much hung out at home most of the day.  Then it was off to Salty Iguana for supper.  Ryan is not a HUGE fan of mexican like I am but my birthday is the one day that I know he'll take me out for mexican with no complaints!!!  I had a GREAT b-day weekend!!

We had yet another busy week of swimming lessons and work!  I took pictures of Rylee on Wednesday night at her lesson so I'll try to get them posted sometime this weekend!

Another busy weekend planned as we will be heading south for our niece Ashlee's 4th b-day party!  Should have some fun pictures to post of the girls!

Also, would like to wish my father-in-law a very Happy Birthday!!!  We are sad we won't get to help them celebrate at the lake this weekend!  Steve, I hope you have a wonderful day!!!

Until next time, TTFN!!

First night of Swimming Lessons

Well, Miss Rylee had a very big day today.  Our day started with her 3-year appointment with the dentist.  I started taking her when she was 1-year old and we've gone every 6-months since.  However, this was going to be the first time they were going to clean her teeth.  I wasn't sure how it was going to go but we go to a wonderful Pediatric Dentist here in Lee's Summit so I was hopeful she would do great!

It took quite a bit of bartering to get her to sit in the chair all by herself.  Once we accomplished that feat, they next thing was deciding whether or not to have x-rays of her teeth.  She was 100% fine with them taking pictures of her teeth but she DID NOT want to wear the protective cover.  We started first by just covering her legs and then she finally decided it would be OK to cover her chest.....just as long as lamby got to participate as well.  She did GREAT during the x-rays.  Next up, the cleaning.  Now this part, took lots and lots of convincing before she agreed to do this.  Then it was time for the doctor to come in.  Now the doctor doesn't have 45 minutes to sit and wait for my little one to open her mouth and decide its OK for her to do her thing.  So needless to say, the 5 minutes with the doctor was a bit brutal.  She did a lot of crying and fighting us.  I had to hold down her hands and the hygentist had to hold her feet.  It was not pretty.  But once the doctor was done and she was in mommy's arms, she was fine.....that and the yummy popsicle they promised her.  Sorry I don't have any pictures to post....way to much going on during this 1-hour visit to the dentist.

Next up....SWIMMING LESSONS!!  And oh my was she so excited about this.  She wanted to wear her swimming suit all day and was NOT happy when I wouldn't let her.  Daddy had her all dressed and ready by the time I got home for week.  Her lessons started at 5:30 so I really had to book it home in order to make it on time.  We arrived at the YMCA in Blue Springs and the excited exploded...especially when she saw the swimming pools.  She was ready to jump right in but we had to wait a few minutes before they got started.  Now, I know she isn't afraid of the water.....she's a little fish!  BUT, I wasn't sure how she would do in the water without Mommy or Daddy.  That would be a first!  I debated on whether or not she was ready for the Pre-School session and the lady told me if she was 3, she was ready.  Can you tell I was a little nervous?!?!

Here is a picture of the munchkin waiting patiently to get in the pool.

Here she is sitting on the side with her other classmates.

FINALLY, she gets to get in the water...

Oh how she loves the water....She did absolutely great in class.  She was the youngest one in the class I believe and probably one of the ones that was the least afraid!  Can't wait to see what she learns on Wednesday!

This is what we looked like on the ride home...just chillin' in her car seat.

Good times at the dentist and swimming lessons today!!

Until next time....TTFN!

Rylee's 3-year pictures

Well once again, I am delayed in getting my post done.  Its been another one of those weeks!!  As stated in my last post, I took Rylee to have her 3-year pictures taken at JcPenney last Saturday.  She did great, as usual!!  And she took way too many cute pictures....I always have a terrible time picking!  Here is a sneak peak of her photo shoot!

After her pictures, we did a little shopping and then home for lunch and to nap!  I just LOVE being able to nap with my little girl!!!  Ryan had to work all weekend so we had some quality mommy/daughter time!

We didn't do too much on Sunday either.  Hit the grocery store and then back home to play and be lazy!

We've had a pretty uneventful week as well.  Our little monkey has been fighting a cough and runny nose for about 2 weeks.  I finally decided it was time to take her to the doctor yesterday morning.  Good thing because she has a sinus infection and the beginning of an ear infection in her left ear.  She's on amoxicilian for 10 days so hopefully that will do the trick!!

Tonight we are going out with some friends to watch the Big 12 Basketball games.  I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone as it's been a while since we've all gotten together!  Rylee is going to spend the evening with Uncle Cody, Aunt Sara, Jackson & Matthew.  She is SUPER excited to get to play with her cousins all evening!!!

Tomorrow, Ryan and I have a wedding to attend.  Beth, our old daycare provider from Olathe, her oldest son is getting married in Baldwin City tomorrow.  So Grandma Val is coming up to spend the afternoon and evening with Rylee!

Well, I guess that is all I have to report.  I'm so very glad it is Friday and very much so looking forward to the weekend!!  I hope everyone has a great day and a fabulous weekend!  Until next time....TTFN!!

Rylee's b-day party in Caldwell

Sorry I'm a little slow with this post. It's been a very busy week! I haven't had much time in the evenings to blog!!! Last weekend we headed to Caldwell so Rylee could celebrate her 3rd birthday with our family down there!  We got to town pretty late on Friday night but Rylee sure was wound up when we got there.  She was very excited to see PaPa & MeMe!!  I had to force her to go to bed though cause I didn't want her to be a grouch on Saturday for her party!

We slept in a little bit on Saturday morning but then it was up and atom to get ready for her party @ 1pm.  I was busy most of the morning wrapping her presents and getting things ready.  Ashlee finally made it over!  The girls are just the best of buds and had really missed each other!!  They were soooo excited to see each other.  And Ash just couldn't wait for the b-day party to start.

Before lunch, we headed up to the Phoenix House to see Granny OO and PaPa H and their new "apartment."  We hadn't gotten to see them since they were moved there.  They were very, very happy to see Rylee!!  PaPa H celebrated his birthday on Friday so Rylee enjoyed taking him is b-day card!  We were glad we were home so we could celebrate both of their birthdays!!

We had to hurry home so we could each lunch and I could finish getting ready for the party!

Here is a picture of more princess goods!!

Here are the girls getting ready for the party!!

Cake time!!  Here is little miss blowing out her candles and Ash wanting to give her high fives!!
Present time!!
We are so thankful that we were able to celebrate with PaPa, MeMe, Granny OO, PaPa H, Mema, Uncle D, Aunt Keira, Andrew, Ash, The Rice Family (Kirstan, GoGo, Lexie & Corbin) and Debbi Cay!!

Ash & Rylee just LOVE the Rice Girls!!!  They fight over "My GoGo" and "My Lexie!!
Here are the girls with their Great-Grandma's - Granny OO & Mema
After everyone left, it was nap-time for Rylee!  While she was napping, we had more family come over.  My cousin Shannon, her husband Dennis, and their kids Lanie, Bailey, Kylie & Logan.  It had been a while since we had seen them so we were so glad they were able to make it down for a while.  They didn't have much time so we had to wake Rylee up from her nap.  She was NOT ready to get up!!!!  They got her the cutest Cinderalla dress & crown.  Little miss wasn't quite awake so she really didn't care too much about it at the time.  The Mackey's had to head back to Goddard.  I'm so glad we got to see them and visit!!

After they left, Rylee finally woke up and was acting like her normal self.  She was ready to dress up like a princess!!!  Here she is
She absolutely LOVES her new dress and crown!!  So did Ash!  I guess I know what we are getting Ash for her b-day next month!

We had a great time in Caldwell....however, our time there always seems to go by so fast!  We look forward to seeing our fam again in a few weeks!!!

It is now Friday evening and Rylee and I are home relaxing!  I'm having her 3-year pictures taken tomorrow at Penney's so we plan to call it an early night!!!!  I still have to decide just how I'm going to fix her hair!  Always such a dilemna now that she has a OPINION!!!!

Nothing else is happening for us.  It is supposed to be beautiful out this weekend so hopefully we can spend some time in the backyard!  I'll try to post pictures if we do!

I hope everyone had a great week and has an even better weekend!!!!  Until next time....TTFN!!
