Rylee's 3-year pictures

Well once again, I am delayed in getting my post done.  Its been another one of those weeks!!  As stated in my last post, I took Rylee to have her 3-year pictures taken at JcPenney last Saturday.  She did great, as usual!!  And she took way too many cute pictures....I always have a terrible time picking!  Here is a sneak peak of her photo shoot!

After her pictures, we did a little shopping and then home for lunch and to nap!  I just LOVE being able to nap with my little girl!!!  Ryan had to work all weekend so we had some quality mommy/daughter time!

We didn't do too much on Sunday either.  Hit the grocery store and then back home to play and be lazy!

We've had a pretty uneventful week as well.  Our little monkey has been fighting a cough and runny nose for about 2 weeks.  I finally decided it was time to take her to the doctor yesterday morning.  Good thing because she has a sinus infection and the beginning of an ear infection in her left ear.  She's on amoxicilian for 10 days so hopefully that will do the trick!!

Tonight we are going out with some friends to watch the Big 12 Basketball games.  I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone as it's been a while since we've all gotten together!  Rylee is going to spend the evening with Uncle Cody, Aunt Sara, Jackson & Matthew.  She is SUPER excited to get to play with her cousins all evening!!!

Tomorrow, Ryan and I have a wedding to attend.  Beth, our old daycare provider from Olathe, her oldest son is getting married in Baldwin City tomorrow.  So Grandma Val is coming up to spend the afternoon and evening with Rylee!

Well, I guess that is all I have to report.  I'm so very glad it is Friday and very much so looking forward to the weekend!!  I hope everyone has a great day and a fabulous weekend!  Until next time....TTFN!!

Rylee's b-day party in Caldwell

Sorry I'm a little slow with this post. It's been a very busy week! I haven't had much time in the evenings to blog!!! Last weekend we headed to Caldwell so Rylee could celebrate her 3rd birthday with our family down there!  We got to town pretty late on Friday night but Rylee sure was wound up when we got there.  She was very excited to see PaPa & MeMe!!  I had to force her to go to bed though cause I didn't want her to be a grouch on Saturday for her party!

We slept in a little bit on Saturday morning but then it was up and atom to get ready for her party @ 1pm.  I was busy most of the morning wrapping her presents and getting things ready.  Ashlee finally made it over!  The girls are just the best of buds and had really missed each other!!  They were soooo excited to see each other.  And Ash just couldn't wait for the b-day party to start.

Before lunch, we headed up to the Phoenix House to see Granny OO and PaPa H and their new "apartment."  We hadn't gotten to see them since they were moved there.  They were very, very happy to see Rylee!!  PaPa H celebrated his birthday on Friday so Rylee enjoyed taking him is b-day card!  We were glad we were home so we could celebrate both of their birthdays!!

We had to hurry home so we could each lunch and I could finish getting ready for the party!

Here is a picture of more princess goods!!

Here are the girls getting ready for the party!!

Cake time!!  Here is little miss blowing out her candles and Ash wanting to give her high fives!!
Present time!!
We are so thankful that we were able to celebrate with PaPa, MeMe, Granny OO, PaPa H, Mema, Uncle D, Aunt Keira, Andrew, Ash, The Rice Family (Kirstan, GoGo, Lexie & Corbin) and Debbi Cay!!

Ash & Rylee just LOVE the Rice Girls!!!  They fight over "My GoGo" and "My Lexie!!
Here are the girls with their Great-Grandma's - Granny OO & Mema
After everyone left, it was nap-time for Rylee!  While she was napping, we had more family come over.  My cousin Shannon, her husband Dennis, and their kids Lanie, Bailey, Kylie & Logan.  It had been a while since we had seen them so we were so glad they were able to make it down for a while.  They didn't have much time so we had to wake Rylee up from her nap.  She was NOT ready to get up!!!!  They got her the cutest Cinderalla dress & crown.  Little miss wasn't quite awake so she really didn't care too much about it at the time.  The Mackey's had to head back to Goddard.  I'm so glad we got to see them and visit!!

After they left, Rylee finally woke up and was acting like her normal self.  She was ready to dress up like a princess!!!  Here she is
She absolutely LOVES her new dress and crown!!  So did Ash!  I guess I know what we are getting Ash for her b-day next month!

We had a great time in Caldwell....however, our time there always seems to go by so fast!  We look forward to seeing our fam again in a few weeks!!!

It is now Friday evening and Rylee and I are home relaxing!  I'm having her 3-year pictures taken tomorrow at Penney's so we plan to call it an early night!!!!  I still have to decide just how I'm going to fix her hair!  Always such a dilemna now that she has a OPINION!!!!

Nothing else is happening for us.  It is supposed to be beautiful out this weekend so hopefully we can spend some time in the backyard!  I'll try to post pictures if we do!

I hope everyone had a great week and has an even better weekend!!!!  Until next time....TTFN!!

Happy 3rd Birthday to my Rylee Bear!!!!!

I cannot believe that my baby is 3 years old today!!!! It seems like yesterday we were in the hospital and you were about to be born! You couldn't wait any longer since you decided to surprise us 2 weeks early!!

Here is the little missy, less than an hour old!! She weighed 6lbs 10ozs and was 19 inches long

Our first family photo

Here she is only 1 day old and already has daddy wrapped around her finger!!

And then our BIG girl this morning on her 3rd Birthday!!!

I just don't know where the last 3 years have gone!! It has been quite a ride so far and I'm sure it will continue to be exciting!! Rylee brings us so much joy! Parenting can be a bit trying at times but it is worth every minute!!!
Happy 3rd Birthday Rylee Bear!!!!! Mommy & Daddy love you soooooo much!!!!!

Hanging with Mommy & Skating Fun!

On Sunday, Rylee and I were home most of the day by ourselves. We slept in a little bit which was nice cause I was really, really worn out from the day before. We to up and she instantly wanted to open all her new toys she got for her birthday. She played for hours will her new dolls & tea set. Then she really, really wanted to open up her new Dora roller skate set that she got from Uncle Cody, Aunt Sara and cousins Jackson & Matthew. Of course Aunt Sara bought this gift for Rylee months ago and with her recent accident at daycare, she thought this looked like more of a gag-gift than anything. That helmet would've come in handy on Thursday!!

Here is Rylee getting all geared up to be a "skater"...that is what she calls herself!

The helmet - which Ryan so politely pointed out was on backwards - next time I'll let him to try get a very "excited & anxious" 3-year old ready to skate!!!

Another smile for the camera

I'm ready to skate mom!!!!!

Here is a short video of her first time skating.....not too bad!!

Round #2 - she got pretty brave towards to end.

Can't wait for the weather to get nice so she can try this out on our back patio.
After our skating adventure, it was time to make a quick trip to the grocery store. The weather was starting to get nasty again so I was glad we went when we did.
When we got home, it was nap time for the little miss. While she napped, I finished picking up the house, cleaning her playroom, laundry, getting supper started...you name it. Just about did everything but RELAX!

Ryan got home around 3:30. Rylee was very excited to see her daddy when she got up from her nap....as was Mommy!!!! I was ready for a little break from the monkey! It's hard to get anything done with my busy little bee around! We enjoyed the rest of our evening and believe it or not, I was in bed by 8pm. It was wonderful!! Now, I wish I could say I fell asleep shortly after that but not such luck! I did manage to get a pretty good nights sleep though. I think I'm still trying to catch up from our busy weekend!
Tomorrow is my baby girls' 3rd birthday....stay tuned for her b-day post!
Until then, TTFN!!

Rylee's b-day party in Kansas City

This past Saturday, we had Rylee's 3rd b-day party in Kansas City. The guest listed included us, Grandma & Grandpa Krause; Uncle Cody, Aunt Sara, cousins Jackson & Matthew; Uncle Arnie, Aunt Dana and cousin Paxton; Janaye, Aidan & Abram Shaffer; Jenny, Jake & Ava Montgomery (they were our neighbors in Olathe). Rylee and Jake say they are boyfriend and girlfriend. It's pretty cute....they really miss each!! We were so glad they were able to make it as we haven't seen them since September.

Here is Rylee's cake and princess goodies!! This was the theme she picked and she couldn't stop talking about the princesses!! We got the cake from our local Hyvee and I thought they did a wonderful job!!

An up close picture of the cake

The weather started to get pretty nasty as all our guests arrived so some of them didn't stay too long for fear the roads were getting slick. We are so glad the Krauses', Shaffer's & Montgomery's got to spend Rylee's special day with us. We'll celebrate this coming weekend with my family in Caldwell.
Until next time....TTFN!

Rylee's accident @ daycare today

You never know what daycare is going to tell you when they are calling you at the end of the day. The director called Ryan today around 4:40 cause Rylee had just taken a terrible fall off one of the climbing cubes. It was FINALLY nice enough for the kiddo's to play outside this afternoon!!! Who knows what she was doing, probably not paying attention. I guess the fall really scared her teacher!! Anyways, the director told Ryan she had marks and scratches on her forehead, eye and nose. I was picking her up today so Ryan called to warn me. I'm glad he did so I had time to prepare!! Rylee was waiting patiently for me in the director's office. She started fussing when I got inside and had to tell me ALL about her little accident. My poor little baby!! I guess she cried right away but not too long. She's a tough little cookie!! On the drive home, I told her she could have a special treat when we got home. She was very excited about that...normally we don't let her have cookies until after supper but I had to make an exception tonight.

After we got lots of lovin' from daddy, we ate our cookies and had a few more snacks. I figured I better take pictures of this since this is her first real noticeable wound!!

You can kind of see the scrapes on her head and eye here

Here is a better picture while she was in the bath. It will be a miracle if she doesn't wake up with a black eye!!

Even despite her ouchies, she was a very happy girl. Here she is all clean and making silly faces after her bath.

My little monkey in her pj's and ready for bed!!

I had to leave her with daddy this evening because I had to go play volleyball so I have no idea how her eye and forehead looked before she went to sleep. I guess we will find out in the morning. I'll post more pictures if she has her first "black eye" in the morning. Hopefully not!!!

Well, I better go hop in the shower and take my behind to bed. Gotta get ready for our big weekend. We are having b-day party #1 for Rylee on Saturday....can't believe my baby girl will be 3 next week. Where does the time go????

Until next time, TTFN!!

Happy BELATED Valentines Day

Ok, so I'm a little behind. At least the picture was actually taken on Valentines Day. I wanted to take Rylee's picture but she only agreed if I would let her make a silly face. So I told her if she smiled pretty for me, I'd let her make a silly face. So, here you go......

Our pretty little girl....

Our silly-faced girl...

Have a great week!!

Until next time TTFN...
